Q. What do you do currently?
A. I work as a photographer in Seoul. I carry a camera and turn moments into something lasting.
I document people’s special moments and reframe everyday scenes to make them feel a bit more meaningful.
At times, I create stories through photography and bring people together to build something fun around them.
Q. Do you have any personal principles when it comes to your work?
A. I’d like to say that it’s okay to work a little more slowly.
Perhaps because I work alone most of the time, I’m used to waiting for the sake of recording.
On set, I may look busier and faster than anyone else,
but to capture a fleeting moment, I believe you also need the patience to wait for it.
Q. What do “work” and “city life” mean to you, Seongsu?
A. Through work, I feel like I get to experience city life more deeply.
Because much of what I do involves recording things, scenes of the city that once felt ordinary sometimes come to me as special subjects.
To me, city life often feels cramped and suffocating,
but when I look at it through the lens of work, that negativity can turn into something positive.
Tall buildings stretching upward can suddenly feel refreshing,
and traffic-packed roads on the way home appear neatly arranged, offering a sense of visual calm.
A city filled with ever changing elements gives me diverse perspectives and inspiration for my work.
Q. When do you say “wow” when you see a product?
A. I’m impressed when I see a product that shows consideration for others.
Q. Do you feel that way about the RAWROW products you use as well?
A. Personally, that would be the RAWROW City Walker crossbody.
Because I carry a heavy camera, the bag itself needs to be lightweight above all else,
and most RAWROW products maximize mobility through their light weight.
That’s the part where I feel most considered as a user.
In terms of price as well, it has an appeal that doesn’t wear out over time.
Q. Could you describe the RAWROW City Walker in one line?
A. A bag that never gets in the way when taking photos.
